One of the most famous ahadith narrators, Aisha (r.a). She is one of the leading narrators along with Abu Hurairah (r.a). In this post I have gathered 20 hadith narrated by Aisha (r.a) it is taken from Sahih Bukhari, Muslim and Ibn Majah.

We start with one of the most famous hadith narrated by Aisha (r.a), usually near enough always recited at the Friday Khutbah (sermon).

Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours (i.e., Islam) that is not part of it, will have it rejected. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘O Allah! Strengthen Islam with Umar bin Al-Khattab in particular. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Ten things are connected to the Fitrah (fitra): trimming the moustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth stick, rinsing out the nostrils with water, clipping the nails, washing the joints, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubic hairs, washing the private parts with water. (One of the narrators) Zakariyya said: Musab said: I have forgotten the tenth thing, but it may have been rinsing out the mouth. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) commanded that places of prayer be established in villages, and that they be purified and perfumed. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: If the people knew what (reward) there is in the Isha prayer and Fajr prayer, they would come even if they had to crawl. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw), Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman used to start their recitation with All praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of all that exists. (Al-hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-Alamin). Ibn Majah

I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: Every prayer in which the Ummul-Kitab (the Mother of the Book) is not recited is deficient. Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: If food is ready and the Iqamah is being given, then start with the food. Ibn Majah

Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah’s Apostle O Allah’s Messenger (saw)! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you? Allah’s Messenger (saw) replied, Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says. Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet (saw) being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the Sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over). Bukhari

The Prophet (saw) used to like to start from the right side on wearing shoes, combing his hair and cleaning or washing himself and on doing anything else. Bukhari and Muslim

The Prophet (saw) said, All drinks that produce intoxication are Haram (forbidden to drink). Bukhari

The Prophet said, Bilal pronounces the Adhan at night, so eat and drink (Suhur) till Ibn Um Maktum pronounces the Adhan. Bukhari

Whenever Allah’s Messenger (saw) saw the rain, he used to say, O Allah! Let it be a strong fruitful rain. Bukhari

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to remember Allah at all moments. Muslim

Abu Bakr led the people in prayer and the Messenger of Allah (saw) was in the row. Nasai

The Messenger of Allah (saw) told Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. She said: The Prophet (saw) was in front of Abu Bakr and he prayed sitting down, and Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer, and the people were behind Abu Bakr. Nasai

The Prophet (saw) said: Prayer in (jamah) congregation is twenty-five levels better than a prayer offered on one’s own. Nasai

The actions which the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, loved most were those which were done most constantly. Muwatta

The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to fast Ashura, and he ordered (others) to fast it too. Ibn Majah

The Prophet (saw) used to strive hard (in worship) in the last ten nights of Ramadan as he never did at any other time. Ibn Majah
