NEW DELHI: India’s top Muslim parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi has demanded the government to condemn the killing of over 40 Palestinians by the Israeli forces in Gaza on Monday. Member of Lok Sabha and chief of All India Majlis-e Ittehadul Muslimeen, Owaisi termed the killing as massacre. The Palestinians were shot dead when they were protesting along the Gaza border against the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem.
According to reports, at least 41 Palestinians including a minor were killed when the Israeli forces opened fire on thousands of protesting Palestinians at five points along the Gaza border hours before the opening of the embassy.
“India should condemn the killing of 38 Palestinians by Israel, an apartheid racist regime. It is a massacre of Palestinians. India has always stood by Palestinians,” said Owaisi and tagged India’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and her ministry in his tweet.
