Need to reinvestigate Makkah Masjid Blast Case: Capt. Pandu Ranga Reddy, others

Hyderabad: Muslims in India will not get justice irrespective of the fact which political party is in power. The responsibility of providing security to minorities is the duty of the majority community.

These thoughts were expressed by noted historian, Capt. Pandu Ranga Reddy while addressing a public meeting organized by All India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat at Urdu Ghar Moghalpura on “Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case: Strange verdict”.

Dr. Mohammed Mushtaq Ali, Acting President of Tameer-e-Millat presided over the function. Mr. Reddy told that it is the duty of not only the Muslims but also of the majority community to make a representation to the President of India during his visit to Hyderabad. He termed the resignation tendered by the judge who pronounced the judgment on Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case a drama which was nothing but to divert the attention of the judgment.

BJP is the most communal party but Congress is also equally communal. Whichever party assumes power, Muslims will not get justice. It is therefore essential that the old system of government should be reinstated.

Dr. Mustaq Ali told that there are lacunae in the investigations. After the confession statement of Swami Aseemanand, there was a hope that justice would be done but it did not happen.

Mr. Ziauddin Naiyer, Vice President of Tameer-e-Millat told that Aseemanand had made a confession statement but later, it was reported that this file is missing and the public prosecutor was also an inexperienced person.

Mr. Inamur Rehman Ghayur told that if the roots of the verdict are analyzed, it would be known whether such judgments are being pronounced only in respect of Muslims or others. He pointed out that the judgment pronounced by the Supreme Court in Justice Loya’s death case is very surprising. It is imperative on the part of the Govt. of Telangana to raise its voice against the verdict pronounced in Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case.

Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, Secretary of Jamat-e-Islami told, “We have faith in judiciary but by seeing the present trend of the judiciary, it could be construed that very soon things are going to become worse”.
Mr. Mohammed Wahajuddin Siddiqui told that there is a need to reconsider the recently pronounced court judgments. He further told that Muslims cannot blast bombs in any place of worship. He asked Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and Parsis to get united.
