‘No Namaz-e-Janaja will be offered’: Muslims disowns the accused for raping minor

NEW DELHI: Leaders from Muslim community on Thursday disowned the accused porter Irfan Mev alias Bhaiyyu arrested over the rape of a minor in Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh and said that there is no place for the rape accused in community graveyards in the district.

“There is no place for such demon in the community. He should be hanged for his actions,” Waqf Anjuman Islam Committee Sadar Mohd Yunus Sheikh told reporters, after leading a delegation to submit a memorandum to Mandsaur SP Manoj Singh, reported Times Of India.

Several Muslim organisations also demanded the death sentence and a speedy trial in a fast track court for the accused for the horrifying crime and claimed that no Namaz-e-Janaja, an Islamic prayers upon his death will be offered.

“Irfan’s crime can’t be pardoned. We have decided that we will not allow his body to be buried in any of the community burial grounds in the district,” Sheikh said.

Mother of one of the two accused demanded a Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) inquiry in the matter. She believes that his son is innocent. “I trust he is innocent. A CBI inquiry should be conducted in the case. If he is found guilty he should be severely punished,” the mother told ANI.

Meanwhile, the father of the eight-year-old victim has demanded death sentence for the accused. Speaking to ANI, the father on Saturday said that he wants nothing, except justice for his daughter.

Eight-year-old girl was abducted from her school in Hafiz Colony here and gang raped by two youths at her house in Mandsaur on June 26.
Police have arrested the two culprits in the case.

Superintendent of MY Hospital, where the minor girl is undergoing treatment, told media that the victim is out of danger.

“Her condition is better than the one she was brought in and she’s out of danger now. She’s being given semi-solid food and is speaking today. We are monitoring her. She was also examined by doctors called from outside,” he said.
