New Delhi : After meeting leaders of RSS including RSS supremo Mohan Bhagwat, members of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind have come out openly supporting government on Kashmir crisis and even NRC across India.

It’s Mahmood Madani of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has supported the Centre’s Narendra Modi government on the abrogation of Article 370 and demanded the rolling out of Assam-like NRC across India.

It is pertinent to mention that Mahmood Madani’s  uncle  and Jamiat’s chief Maulana Arshad  Madani met with RSS  Chief Mohan Bhagwat last week for an hour-long chat.

“The NRC should be conducted in the whole country as it will help in knowing how many intruders are here. Even those who are genuine are being blamed. Hence it should be done. I have no problem with that,” said Mahmood Madani after the meeting.

Interestingly only a week after the meeting with RSS chief,  the General Council of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, now today passed a resolution stating that Kashmir is an integral part of India and supported government’s stand on identifying foreigners in the country.

It is our firm belief that the welfare of the people of Kashmir lies in getting integrated with India. The inimical forces and the neighboring country are bent upon destroying Kashmir. The enemy has made Kashmir battlefield using Kashmiris as shield which makes it the biggest hurdle in rescuing the people from the impasse,” the resolution on Kashmir adopted by the Jamiat on Thursday reads.

Also Regarding the National Register of Citizens (NRC).Madani  said that I want NRC to be done in the whole country. ‘It will be known how many intruders live in our country,’ he said.

Briefing about the decision of the organization on NRC, Maulana Qari M Usman Mansoorpuri, president, Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind said that they are supporting the decision.”Who is Indian who is not should be known. Other countries are doing it, we should do it too,” he said.
