Excellent Hadith for the Youth

A collection of hadith for the youth. It’s a very hard challenge getting the children and youth to be islamic, especially with so much distraction around them all the time.

Our Prophet (saw) motivated everyone including the youth, by first establishing a good grounding of Islam within them then by creating an islamic atmosphere so that they remained steadfast.

The Prophet’s (saw) words are the best advice and his (saw) ways are the best ways! They automatically connect with our heart and mind and it feels just right and creates tranquility in ourselves. All we have to do is follow what the Prophet (saw) told us to do.

Here’s an excellent collection of hadith for the youth, you won’t need to ponder too much to figure out what they mean you can take the literal meaning from these, though deep thinking and actually applying it in our lives is, what matters the most.

Hadith for the youth

Jundub bin Abdullah said: “We were with the Prophet (saw), and we were strong youths, so we learned Imaan before we learned Quran. Then we learned Quran and our faith increased thereby.” Ibn Majah

The Prophet (saw) said, “religion is very easy and whoever overburden himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extreme, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights.” Bukhari

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his child, his father and all the people.’ Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘No slave truly believes until he believes in four things: in Allah alone with no partner; that I am the Messenger of Allah; in the resurrection after death; and in the Divine Decree (Qadar).’ Ibn Majah

The Prophet (saw) said, “A man is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.” Tirmidhi

Prophet (saw) said: “Whoever conceals the (hidden) fault of his Muslim brother, Allah (SWT) will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever exposes the fault of his Muslim brother, Allah will expose his faults, until (so that) He shames him, due to it, in his (own) house.” Ibn Majah

Abu Darda said: “My close friend (saw) advised me: Do not drink wine, for it is the key to all evils.” Ibn Majah

The messenger of Allah (saw) said: “Among the words people obtained from the First Prophecy are: If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.” 40 Hadith Nawawi

Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “If one of you loves his brother, let him tell him.” Tirmidhi

Messenger of Allah said: “He is not one of us who does not have mercy upon our young, respect our elders, and command good and forbid evil.” Tirmidhi

The Prophet (SAW) said, “Beware! Avoid sitting on the roads (ways).” the people said, “there is no way out of it as these are our sitting places where we have talks.” The Prophet (saw) said, “If you must sit there, then observe the rights of the way.” they asked, “What are the rights of the way?” He said, “they are the lowering of your gazes (on seeing what is illegal to look at), refraining from harming people, returning greetings, advocating good and forbidding evil.” Bukhari

Alqamah said: While I was walking with Abdullah he said, “We were in the company of the Prophet (saw) and he said, ‘He who can afford to marry should marry, because it will help him refrain from looking at other women, and save his private parts from looking at other women, and save his private parts from committing illegal sexual relation; and he who cannot afford to marry is advised to fast, as fasting will diminish his sexual power.” Bukhari

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Faith is knowledge in the heart, words on the tongue and action with the physical faculties. (limbs of the body).’ Ibn Majah

Some people asked Allah’s Apostle, “Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who is a very good Muslim)?” He replied, “One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue and hands.” Bukhari

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “Verbally abusing a Muslim is immorality and fighting him is Kufr (disbelief).” Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you believe, and you will not (truly) believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread the greetings of Salam among yourselves.’ Ibn Majah

The Prophet (saw) said: “The fitra (Fitrah) are five: Circumcision, shaving the pubes, plucking the armpit hairs, clipping the nails and taking from the mustache.” Nasai

The Prophet (saw) said: “Trim the mustache and let the beard grow.” Nasai

Rafi bin Ishaq that he heard Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari say – when he was in Egypt: “By Allah, I do not know what I should do with these Karais (toilets). The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘When any one of you goes to defecate or urinate, let him not face toward the Qiblah, nor turn his back towards it.” Nasai

The Prophet used to like to start from the right side on wearing shoes, combing his hair and cleaning or washing himself and on doing anything else. Bukhari

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Make your rows straight, for straightening the rows is part of completing the prayer.’ Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who complete the rows, and whoever fills a gap, Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby.’ Ibn Majah

Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “If anyone of you is invited to a wedding feast, let him accept.” Ibn Majah

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Do not pray toward graves and do not sit on them.’ Nasai

The Prophet said, “Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else. 2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah’s sake. 3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire.” Bukhari

The Prophet (saw) said: He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah. Abu Dawud

Abu Huraira reported that a person said: Allah’s Messenger, who among the people is most deserving of my good treatment? He said: Your mother, again your mother, again your mother, then your father, then your nearest relatives according to the order (of nearness). Muslim

Abu Ayyub Ansiri reported Allah’s Messenger (saw) as saying: It is not permissible for a Muslim to have estranged relations with his brother beyond three nights, the one turning one way and the other turning the other way when they meet; the better of the two is one who is the first to give a greeting. Muslim

The Prophet (saw) said: Avoid suspicion, for suspicion is the gravest lie in talk and do not be inquisitive about one another and do not spy upon one another and do not feel envy with the other, and nurse no malice, and nurse no aversion and hostility against one another. And be fellow-brothers and servants of Allah. Muslim

The Prophet (saw) said: The gates of Paradise are not opened but on two days, Monday and Thursday. and then every servant (of Allah) is granted pardon who does not associate anything with Allah except the person in whose (heart) there is rancour against his brother. And it would be said: Look towards both of them until there is reconciliation; look toward both of them until there is reconciliation; look towards both of them until there is reconciliation. Muslim

The prophet (saw) said: Verily. Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory’s sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine. Muslim

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said: There is no trouble that comes to a believer except that it obliterates from his sins, even if it is the pricking of a thorn. Muslim
