New Delhi: Vishva Hindu Parishad’s newly-elected head Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje while on his visit to the make-shift temple of ‘Ram Lalla’ on Monday, said that the dream of Ram temple will soon come true. “We will not only win the suit but also make a Grand Ram Temple,” he said.
“Humein purna vishwas hai woh bhi nikat bhavishya mein pura hoga…nyayalaya ka nirnaya humare paksha mein hoga aur hum yahan ek bhavya mandir ka nirman kara sakenge,” said Kokje according to a report published in The Indian Express.
The 79-year-old newly-elected chief who was accompanied by VHP vice-president Champat Rai and other local leaders also prayed at the disputed site in Ayodhya.
He also addressed a press conference at the stone carving workshop of VHP where he said that ‘he is hopeful that Supreme Court’s decision would be announced in favour of Hindus’.
While speaking further, Kokje said “It is not the job of the VHP to evaluate the government or the PM…we represent the entire Hindu community. No previous government has been as close to Hindus as the NDA governments and the present regime.”
A report of Hindustan Times said, before leaving for Faizabad on Sunday, the VHP chief told reporters in Lucknow that many Muslims were also in favour of the construction of the Ram temple at the disputed site.
