Terrorism is not our methodology, says Wahdat-e-lslami chief Maulana Wajdi

By Muslim Mirror News

New Delhi, Jul 21: The raids carried out by NIA on July- 13 at Wahdat-e-islami Hind’s Chennai head office and house of state president Syed Muhammad Bukhari with continues investigation has proven the malafide intentions of Government regarding Muslims in India” said  Maulana Ata-ur-Rahman Wajdi in a press statement .

The organization’s name cropped up in media  after 14 people  were handed over to India by Saudi Arabia  for allegedly attempting to set up terror outfit ‘Asnarulla’ in Tamil Nadu, as court officials ‘claimed’  last week .

Wahdat-e-lslami Hind is a national organisation which has been striving for last 26 years in India for the upliftment and development of Muslims through Dawah and propagation of Islam, he said.

He clarified that the individuals arrested from UAE have no connection with Wahdat-e-lslami as it has no unit outside the Indian jurisdiction, and it collects funds for activities from Indian masses only because its funding policy prohibits foreign funds.

“Terrorism is not our methodology, we believe in upfront and transparent propagation of Islam in the light of Quran and Hadith. The Government is equating dissent with rebellion and hence it is using deceit tactics, but we will not tolerate this injustice and the onus of consequential uneasiness among masses will be on the Government” he further added.

Maulana Wajdi  raised the issue of transparency during the investigation by the Government agencies, and advised them to stay away from false allegations and taking unwarra nted actions on baseless evidences.

Maulana Wajdi appealed his associates to remain steadfast and remain hopeful in these turbulent times without paying any heed to malicious media propaganda,

“We will overcome this rough patch also and will rise with revived zeal by exposing the deceitful conspiracy” said the statement.
